COVID-19 Safety Precautions

At Sure Sight Home Inspection, we understand that the COVID-19 pandemic has created many challenges to our daily lives, and the process of buying and selling real estate is no exception. Safety is one of our top priorities, and we are dedicated to leading the way when it comes to protecting our family and yours.

Vacant home policy

One of the most notable changes we’ve made is with our attendance policy. In the past, our clients would sometimes choose to meet with us at the end of the inspection to discuss findings, or our one-year warranty clients who already live in the home would be present for the inspection.

Many independent studies have been published that point to close interactions and enclosed/indoor environments as the primary source of virus transmission. Therefore, we are requiring that all homes be vacated for the duration of the inspection and ask that clients do not meet at the home during or after the inspection

If you feel it is essential to meet the inspector before or after the inspection, all interactions will be done outdoors, wearing face masks, and 6 feet or more social distancing guidelines will be followed at all times.

You can rest assured in knowing that because of the time and detail we put into all our reports, you won’t miss a thing by not being there. But if you do have questions after reading your report, you are more than welcome to contact us and we’d be happy to go over it with you.

Our safety protocols

During your inspection, we’re taking multiple steps to stop the spread of the virus in your home including:

  • Cleaning tools between each inspection
  • Wearing facemasks in all occupied homes
  • Frequently washing hands and using hand sanitizer

We’re even using sanitizing wipes or sprays on high-touch surfaces throughout the home, likely leaving things cleaner than before we arrived.

If the inspector has a fever or other signs of illness suspected to be COVID-related, your inspection will be rescheduled or we will do our best to help you find another inspector.

We’ll continue to adapt our policies as new information becomes available and hopefully get back to life as we knew it before too long.

Thanks for working with us to keep our families and communities safe. Take care. 🙂
